Write letters to the editor of your local
newspaper
Even if the editors don't print your letter they
will view it as an indicator of community sentiment. Letters should be short
(200 to 250 words). Always include your name, address, and phone number.
The paper will need to be able to
contact you to verify authenticity. For inspiration and possible topics you can
